Monthly Releases: August 2016

As of August 2014, Monthly Releases is a way for Heather and Kaniesha to spotlight their anticipated books for the upcoming month instead of the weekly Waiting on Wednesdays.

Kaniesha's:

Of the three, I'm definitely looking forward to The Beauty of Darkness the most! I haven't read the book previous to The Ghostly Echoes - I forget the title - wait! Beastly Bones! - but I do have the book on my bookcase somewhere. BUUUUUUUT I will have The Beauty of Darkness soon! I am so excited for it, holy heck.

Heather's:

You know me; I rarely have many releases.  Just my luck, these two are coming out on the same day!  I'm sad to see the end of the Demon Road trilogy, but Landy has just announced more Skulduggery Pleasant.  And I will absolutely be savoring The Witch's Vacuum Cleaner.

A slow month for me, a lot like the end of last year! To be fair, I'm completely out of the loop so feel free to yell at me in the comments about anything coming out in May I should be aware of :D I've not read ACOTAR yet, but I love SJM so I'm adding it in anyway. I'm super excited for absolutely anything she releases. I'm also VERY excited for The Sleeping Prince, I can't wait until the end of the month for it!!

Heather's:

(I stole Kaniesha's image and link for ACoMaF, sorry!)  Slow for me as well, but I've noticed many releases I'm interested in are coming out later in the year.  Still, I really liked A Court of Thorns and Roses and am eager to see what Feyre gets into in the sequel.  I don't pick up a lot of nonfiction essays, but I'm a big fan of Gaiman.

Slow month again for me but exciting, regardless!

Heather's:

I think this is the most I've ever had for a month!  I'm super duper excited for Lair of Dreams and The Shepherd's Crown (but I'm totally holding out for the collector's edition!).

Monthly Releases: July 2015

As of August 2014, Monthly Releases is a way for Heather and Kaniesha to spotlight their anticipated books for the upcoming month instead of the weekly Waiting on Wednesdays.

Kaniesha's:

Just two for July, both of which I am immensely waiting for! I think I'll go out and get The Heart of Betrayal as soon as it releases!

Heather's:

Three again!  I've only just started both the Laundry Files and Newsflesh series, but I'm enjoying them so far.  I read Ready Player One last year, I believe, and liked it enough to await Armada's publication.

Woohoo! Three of my favorite authors are releasing new books this month. I am beyond ready for Crimson Bound. I'm convinced Rosamund Hodge is flawless. Now, I LOVE Sarah to tiny bits and pieces but from what I've seen of A Court of Thorns and Roses.. I'm not exactly intrigued. I tried reading the three chapter preview a few months ago and granted, I read it on a night where I was not at all happy but the writing style seems a lot different than what she usually does. We'll see, I guess! Kasie West and Susan Ee = will likely not disappoint. Tiffany Schmidt and Naomi Novik will be new authors for me but I DID get the arc of Uprooted on Netgalley so look forward to a review soon :D

Heather's:

*Many apologies for not having books last month. I thought I had one, but someone on GR mucked up the release date so I thought it came out THIS month. >_>* I greatly enjoyed Life After Life, so I'm really looking forward to A God in Ruins. And ofc, I'd read anything Libba Bray put out!

Monthly Releases: April 2015

As of August 2014, Monthly Releases is a way for Heather and Kaniesha to spotlight their anticipated books for the upcoming month instead of the weekly Waiting on Wednesdays.

Kaniesha's:

April has some interesting YA being released! I haven't heard a single bad thing about Simon vs The Homo Sapien's Agenda (and I'm very excited about this!), Miss Mayhem is the Rebel Belle sequel (yay!) and The Girl at Midnight has been super hyped. Unfortunately I have seen some underwhelming comments about Magonia but that cover is gorgeous and Rook's cover is FANTASTIC. Definitely looking forward to all of these.

Heather's:

Looks like Heather is sitting April out! Hopefully we'll get to see her picks next month :D

Monthly Releases: March 2015

As of August 2014, Monthly Releases is a way for Heather and Kaniesha to spotlight their anticipated books for the upcoming month instead of the weekly Waiting on Wednesdays.

Kaniesha's:

March appears to be a slow publishing month for me! I'm not sure if I'm up to date with new releases or not but this is what I've got for now. I found The Mermaid's Sister via Goodreads homepage- I love mermaids and I love that cover! I've been waiting for The Storyspinner since last year, it seems promising. I actually recently won a copy of The Winner's Crime, I hope it arrives soon if it's an arc, though I haven't read The Winner's Curse yet! I've been waiting for Shadow Scale for eons! EONS! And last but not least, Instinct by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I've actually been avoiding this series since I read that it's going to have a dozen books. I can't remember the first three books so I need to re-read them, especially because while reading the fourth I got really annoyed because I was remembering the series incorrectly. I'm afraid the series is worse than I've hyped it up to be and I don't want to face that reality :'(

Regardless! Books! What releases are you guys looking forward to this month?

Heather's:

I only recently began reading the Fairyland series!  =/  D'oh, but I cannot express my excitement about the fourth book coming out so soon.  I really don't need to go into details about my Carriger obsession, do I?  I'm so thankful Prudence is finally coming because I've been waiting for it since I heard about it!  And ofc, I couldn't forget the paperback edition of the final Skulduggery Pleasant book since the first book was one of my top reads of last year.
