Kaniesha's Top Ten Tuesday #4: Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List
Top Ten Tuesday is a book blog meme created and hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week's Top Ten Tuesday is about the top ten books on my fall 2013 TBR list.
My list isn't going to be in any particular order but I need these books! (Though I'm not sure what the fall cutoff is, I'm going to include releases between September and November).
- The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas
- The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
- Bang by Lisa McMann
- Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken
- Allegiant by Veronica Roth
- World After by Susan Ee
- The Kingdom of Little Wounds by Susann Cokal
- The Falconer by Elizabeth May
- Sign of the Throne by Melissa Eskue Ousley
- The Lord of Opium by Nancy Farmer
I really, really hate waiting and quite a few of these are sequels, though a few are the first in a series/trilogy. Anyone else waiting for these books too?

Kaniesha's Waiting on Wednesday #6: Snakeroot by Andrea Cremer
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
Author: Andrea Cremer
Series: Nightshade Legacy #1
Release date: December 10, 2013
Synopsis: Fans asked for it, and now they've got it! Andrea Cremer is continuing the story she began in in her internationally bestselling trilogy: Nightshade, Wolfsbane and Bloodrose. In this new installment, Bosque Mar haunts the dreams of both Adne and Logan, trying to escape for the Nether, where Calla, Shay and the other Guardians trapped him in the final battle in the War of All Against All. Will he turn Adne to the dark side? Will Logan reclaim his birthright? And will darkness take over our world? In a novel filled with magic, romance and breakneck action, master storytelling Andrea Cremer's newest installment will not disappoint!
The Nightshade trilogy and prequel series are five of my favorite books! I love the characters, the romance, the heartbreak and especially werewolves. But I don't think this book will have werewolves... however I am still super looking forward to it because I love Cremer's writing and I believe she gets better with every release.

Heather's Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie / TV Show
Top Ten Tuesday is the creation of The Broke and the Bookish, each week they post a list and one of their writers answers. This week's topic is Ten Books You Would Love to See as a Movie / TV Show
Kaniesha's Top Ten Tuesday #3: Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show
Top Ten Tuesday is a book blog meme created and hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week's Top Ten Tuesday is about the top ten books I would love to see as a movie or TV show.
1. The Brotherband Chronicles by John Flanagan.
I can't even begin to explain this trilogy. It has so many wonderful characters, amazing action scenes, vivid settings. They'd make such good movies.
2. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken.
*fangirl screech* I love this book, the characters, the desperation, the realness of it all. It'd make a good movie.
3. Angelfall by Susan Ee.
*fangirl screeches again* All the imagery in this book is amazing and I'd love to see it on screen.
4. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
I love Throne of Glass. I love Celaena. I love Sarah Maas. Love love love.
5. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.
Pretty much everything about these books is beautiful. (*But I haven't read the sequel yet*) The fashion, the powers. It'd be so great.
6. The Elementals Series by Brigid Kemmerer.
Hot boys: check. Love interests that make sense: check.
7. Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Not sure how to describe these books either, the characters are lovely and it'd be great to see.
8. The Five Ancestors by Jeff Stone.
This series would literally be perfect for a movie series! Each book focuses on a different character but continues the story in each sequel. There's so much fighting, mystery, adventure.
9. The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld.
I've been talking about how I've wanted to see these books as movies since I first read the books. I want to say that was over five years ago. I really super love these books. Who wouldn't want to see it? The sci-fi, face-changing, body-changing, cameras-following-you-around, etc.
10. The Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater.
I love werewolves. I love these books. I love the characters. I love the romance, suspense, tension. I think these could be wonderful as either a movie or tv show.
OKAY! That was pretty easy to decide. There are some I left out; such as Maximum Ride, Daughter of Smoke and Bone or Of Poseidon but the 10 above are definite wants. A majority of my choices I think would be better as movies but the Chronicles of Nick and the Elementals series would make good TV shows.

Kaniesha's Waiting On Wednesday #5: The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
Author: Rick Riordan
Series: The Heroes of Olympus #4
Release date: October 8, 2013
Synopsis: At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?
They have no choice. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.
Do I even need to freak out about this one? I love everything about these characters and this world and *freaks out*. I can't wait for it!! I'm so super looking forward to more Leo. *chants team Leo*
